**Position Summary**

The role of the Licensed Practical Nursereports to the Clinic Manager. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care.

**Essential** **Position Responsibilities**

• Obtain patient vitals and update patient medical history and medications while inputting data collected into the electronic medical records system
• Perform any necessary CLIA-waived tests
• Clean room after patient use
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked with appropriate materials
• Appropriately process soiled instruments
• Respond timely to patient messages and inquiries
• Obtain insurance prior authorizations for consultation and/or imaging, as needed
• Refill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax or phone as authorized and appropriate
• Coordinate any appointment and/or procedures with other providers or facilities, as necessary
• Assist front office staff with daily operations, as needed

**Qualifications**

• **Education:** Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• **Licensure and Certifications:** Licensed Practical Nurse license and CPR, required.
• **Experience:** Previous experience in a nursing role, preferred.

**Work Environment**: This position will spend 50% of the time standing and/or walking frequent short distances and 40% of time sitting in a standard office environment for data input and 10% of time reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or squatting.
