**Position Summary**
The role of the Nurse Managerreports to the Director of Clinical Services. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day coordination of nursing staff and aides. This position will participate in direct patient care.
**Essential Position Responsibilities**
- Oversee day-to-day workflow in the clinic as it relates to patient care
- Provide ongoing training to nursing staff
- Obtain patient vitals and update patient medical history while inputting data collected into the electronic medical records system
- Prepare patients for various procedures and/or examinations and assist physicians, as needed
- Refill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax or phone as authorized and appropriate
- Provide direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
- Assist patient by providing direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
- Serve as patient liaison and advocate, as needed
- Ensure patients have received all necessary educational materials
- Schedule surgeries and various diagnostic tests and provide scheduled dates to the patient
**Qualification**
- **Education**: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- **Licensure and Certifications**: Valid registered nurse license and CPR, required.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a dialysis setting, required.
**Work Environment:** This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
