**Position Summary**

Washington Regional is seeking a dynamic **Learning & Development Specialist / Clinical Educator** to support the development, delivery, and evaluation of educational programs across the healthcare system. This role serves as a key **Hospital Educator**, providing **Clinical Instruction** and workforce development opportunities for clinical and non-clinical staff while supporting organizational excellence, regulatory readiness, and patient safety initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare education, staff development, curriculum design, simulation-based learning, and training delivery. Experience as an **Epic Trainer** is highly desired.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for healthcare professionals and support staff.
  • Serve as a **Hospital Staff Educator** by facilitating onboarding, annual competencies, continuing education, and professional development programs.
  • Deliver engaging **Clinical Instruction** through classroom, virtual, simulation-based, and hands-on training environments.
  • Function as an **Epic Trainer** or support Epic training initiatives by developing and delivering role-based EHR education programs.
  • Serve as an **American Heart Association Instructor**, conducting BLS and other approved AHA certification courses.
  • Develop curriculum, competency assessments, training materials, lesson plans, and educational resources.
  • Coordinate and support student clinical rotations and educational partnerships with academic institutions.
  • Utilize simulation-based education techniques to strengthen clinical skills, teamwork, and patient safety practices.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and improve workforce performance.
  • Maintain accurate training records, competency documentation, and educational reports.
  • **Qualifications**
  • **Required**
  • Associate degree in Education, Healthcare, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Business, or related field; OR graduate of an accredited healthcare program.
  • Current professional healthcare license, certification, or registration when applicable.
  • Ability to obtain or maintain **American Heart Association Instructor** certification.
  • Experience in staff education, training, clinical practice, or workforce development.

**Preferred**

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience as an **Epic Trainer**.
  • Previous experience as a **Hospital Educator**, Clinical Educator, or Learning & Development Specialist.
  • Experience with curriculum development, simulation training, competency validation, and learning management systems.
  • Additional certifications in education, simulation, healthcare quality, or instructional design.
