**Position Summary**

The role of the Registration/Checkout Clerk reports to the Clinic Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing the activities of the front office.

**Essential** **Position Responsibilities**

  • Engage with customers, patients, guests, and coworkers in a positive and professional manner
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, clinic staff, and providers
  • Perform office and administrative duties in an effective and efficient manner
  • Schedule appointments
  • Register patients
  • Collect co-payments and deductibles
  • Verify insurance eligibility

**Qualifications**

  • **Education:**High school diploma or GED
  • **Licensure and Certifications:** N/A
  • **Experience:** Previous experience in a clerical support role, preferred.

**Work Environment**: This position will spend 80% of work time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment and 20% of work time standing and/or walking short distances while occasionally pushing, pulling, lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs.
