# Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

## About This Role

At Vicar's Landing, our Certified Nursing Assistants play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by providing compassionate, person-centered care. As a CNA, you'll support residents with daily living activities, monitor their well-being, and contribute to a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment. Working closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals, you'll help ensure residents receive the care and attention they deserve while maintaining their dignity and independence.

## What You'll Do

  • Provide routine nursing care and assistance in accordance with residents' individualized care plans.
  • Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Support activities of daily living while promoting residents' comfort, safety, and independence.
  • Observe, document, and communicate changes in residents' condition to the nursing team.
  • Complete required documentation accurately in electronic medical records and daily flow sheets.
  • Assist with meal service and other resident support activities as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment consistent with healthcare standards.
  • Participate in training, in-services, and team meetings to support continuous learning and quality care.

## Qualifications
## Skills You Need
### Must Have Skills

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong compassion, patience, and commitment to resident-centered care.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
  • Ability to accurately document care and follow established procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team.
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents as required, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations

### Nice to Have Skills

  • Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or senior living.
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Experience supporting residents with varying physical and cognitive needs.

**Education:** Active CNA certification required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
