Job Description – Filler Operator

Location: Millville, NJ

• Shift: Shift: 6:00PM-6:00AM, 12 hours shift on 2-2-3 schedule
• Payrate: $19.00

Reports to: Production Supervisor

The Filler Operator is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient product filling by operating and monitoring filling equipment in a fast paced production environment. This role performs routine equipment checks, troubleshoots basic issues, maintains a clean work area, and upholds all safety and quality standards to support consistent, high quality production.

**Supervisory Responsibilities:**

**Duties/Responsibilities:**

• - Assists with operating filling equipment to fill, cap, seal, label, and package products according to specifications.
• Assists in maintaining adequate supplies of packaging materials, including cartons and caps.
• Supports production flow by clearing jams, spills, and manually operating equipment when necessary
• Adheres to health, safety, and food quality requlations (e.g., GMP, HACCP, FDA, SQF)
• Performs basic quality checks, including monitoring product weight and verifying gable codes.
• Performs dye and peroxide checks as required to support quality control requirements.
• Completes required documentation for quality checks and packaging material tracking.
• Assists with setup and monitoring of gable printers and other coding equipment.
• Assists with CIP and SIP processes to support sanitation and product integrity.
• Communicates with other departments and promptly reports issues that may impact production efficiency, including food safety or quality concerns.
• Works with peers to train and develope training materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

## Qualifications
**Required Skills/Abilities:**

• - Documentation: Basic computer skills for tracking production data and filling out logs/SOPs
• Operational Proficiency: Ability to perform product changeovers, set up machinery, and perform mathematical calculations for measurements.
• Technical & Mechanical: Proficient in operating, cleaning, and performing preventive maintenance on filling machines. Troubleshooting skills for identifying jams or malfunctions.
• Quality & Safety Control: Strict adherence to safety standards (e.g., OSHA, PPE) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Attention to detail to ensure proper product weight, volume, and seal integrity.
• Communication & Teamwork: Strong verbal skills to report defects to maintenance/supervisors and collaborate with team members.

**Education and Experience:**

• - High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years experience in manufacturing, food production, or machine operation.
• Experience operating filling equipment, working with CIP/SIP processes, or performing quality control procedures.
