We are currently seeking a **full-time****Substance Abuse Counselor**to join our team at **Coalinga State Hospital** located in **Coalinga, CA.**

**Monday- Friday 8am - 4:30pm**

**$30.00 per hour + medical, dental and vision**

The Addiction/Substance Abuse Counselor is responsible for coordinating all substance abuse/addiction program activities in a correctional setting to include providing intake, assessment, treatment planning, and group and individual counseling.

## Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; bachelor's degree in a human services or related field preferred
• Must have Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification or be actively working toward attaining a substance use credential within two (2) years of hire
• May substitute higher education for experience but must hold a four-year college degree and possess a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to pass and maintain a security background clearance
