We are currently seeking a **PRN** **Medical Assistant** to join our team at **Wabash Valley** **Correctional Facility** located in **Carlisle, Indiana.**

The **Medical Assistant** works under the direction of the RN or LPN and is responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, implementing orders for diagnostic lab test, and assisting the Physician with minor procedures. Additionally, responsibilities include recording EKGs, maintaining and cleaning medical equipment, and collecting data for Quality Improvement programs, as assigned.

## Qualifications

• Current Indiana Medical Assistant license/certification
• Minimum of 6 months Lab Experience
• Current CPR
• Corrections experience preferred, not required
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
