**POSITION SUMMARY**

Genesis Family Health is seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Marketing Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the Marketing Department. This position plays an important role in promoting Genesis Family Health through social media, photography, events, and on-site marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate enjoys working both in the office and out in the community, is comfortable creating content, and is eager to support projects that strengthen our brand and patient engagement.

This position is primarily based in Garden City, KS, with occasional travel to Genesis Family Health locations and community events throughout Southwest Kansas (Dodge City, Ulysses, and Liberal).

**POSITION SCOPE**

**PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and attending community events, health fairs,

employee events, and outreach activities.

  • Capture high-quality photos and videos of employees, providers, patients

(when appropriate), events, and clinic activities for marketing purposes.

  • Assist with creating, scheduling, and publishing content across Genesis Family

Health's social media platforms.

  • Help maintain the social media content calendar and coordinate content with

various departments.

  • Write engaging captions and assist with creating graphics, flyers, and promotional

materials.

  • Travel to Genesis Family Health locations to complete photography, videography,

and other marketing assignments.

  • Support the Marketing Supervisor with on-site marketing projects and

departmental initiatives.

  • Assist with organizing marketing assets, photos, promotional materials, and event

supplies.

  • Help distribute marketing materials throughout clinic locations and community

partners.

  • Monitor social media engagement and notify the Marketing Supervisor of

comments, messages, or trends requiring attention.

  • Ensure all social media activities comply with healthcare regulations (e.g.,

HIPAA) and guidelines to protect patient privacy and maintain organizational standards.

  • Perform other marketing-related duties as assigned.
  • Working closely with other departments to ensure alignment of marketing

strategies and communication efforts.

  • Write clear, concise, and compelling copy for various formats, including

brochures, website content, social media, newsletters, and patient education materials.

  • Work closely with clinical staff to gather information, align messaging, and

ensure accuracy in content.

  • Review and edit content for clarity, grammar, and adherence to the organization’s

messaging guidelines.

  • Print all material items as needed.
  • Assist with employee newsletters.

## POSITION REQUIREMENTS
**Education**

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree (or experience) in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish written and oral communication. (preferred but not required)
  • Experience with content management (e.g. Facebook).
  • Experience with editing software (e.g. Adobe).
  • Familiar with digital and social media marketing.

  • Previous experience with social media management, photography, event coordination, or content creation is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design software is preferred.
  • Basic photography and videography skills are preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between Genesis Family Health locations as needed.
