About The Role

## Description
## Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely according to physician orders and facility policies.
  • Observe residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and adverse reactions, reporting concerns promptly to the licensed nurse.
  • Accurately document medication administration, treatments, and resident observations in the medical record.
  • Assist with medication ordering, receiving, storage, inventory, and disposal in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor medication supplies and notify the appropriate staff when refills are needed.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and dining, as needed.
  • Measure and record vital signs, weights, and other clinical observations as directed.
  • Report changes in residents' physical, mental, or emotional condition to the licensed nurse immediately.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality and protect all health information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Respond appropriately to resident emergencies and follow established emergency procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe medication cart and work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Provide compassionate, respectful, and person-centered care that promotes resident dignity, independence, and quality of life.
  • Follow all infection prevention and control practices, safety procedures, and facility policies.
  • Attend required in-service training, staff meetings, and continuing education programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of certification.

## Qualifications
## Qualifications

  • Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification as required by state regulations.
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, required by state regulations.
  • Current CPR certification and first aid.
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures, infection control practices, and resident rights.
  • Ability to accurately document care and maintain medication records.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

## Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift, transfer, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with assistance when appropriate.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and assist residents with mobility and transfers.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively during emergencies.
