**Manager of Human Resources - Regional Crisis Center - Montrose, CO**

*\*NOT A REMOTE POSITION MUST BE LOCATED IN THE MONTROSE AREA\**

**Position Summary:** The Manager of Human Resources is a strategic and operational leader responsible for delivering high-quality human resources services that support Axis Health System’s mission, values, and organizational goals. This position serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, providing expertise in employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, HR compliance, and workforce planning. They lead key HR staff, drives process improvement initiatives, fosters a positive workplace culture, and ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations.

**Qualifications:**

**Required:**

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, organizational leadership, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience interpreting and applying employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience utilizing Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).

**Preferred:**

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
  • Healthcare, behavioral health, or community health center experience.
  • Experience leading HR projects, initiatives, or process improvement efforts

**Salary:**Starting pay is $67,080 (Based pay $65,000.00 + $2080.00 Locale Differential = $67,080) and ranges up to $75,150.40 per year which includes a $2080.00 locale differential at our Montrose worksites and considers preferred experience and preferred education described.

**Working Conditions/Physical Demands**

  • Employees must occasionally lift and/or move 15 to 50 pounds. Employees are frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for long periods of time at computer.
  • Employees must be able to travel between Axis locations. Depending on the position, employee may also be expected to engage in occasional statewide and domestic travel.
  • Working in a healthcare organization lends itself to the possibility of exposure to communicable disease.
  • Noise level in the working environment is usually moderate.
  • Annual Flu immunization by November 1, annual TB Screening, complete de-escalation training, and BLS certification, as required for position.

  • **Duties and Responsibilities:**
  • **Strategic Human Resources Leadership**
  • Partner with organizational leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Provide coaching, consultation, and guidance on employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and promote a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and participate in HR projects and cross-functional initiatives.

**Employee Relations & Performance Management**

  • Manage complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
  • Advise leaders on corrective action, performance improvement plans, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
  • Ensure consistent application and interpretation of HR policies and practices.
  • Foster positive employee engagement and retention strategies.

**Talent Acquisition & Workforce Development**

  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment processes and hiring practices.
  • Lead onboarding and New Employee Orientation programs.
  • Collaborate with leaders to develop effective workforce planning and succession strategies.
  • Support training and development programs that enhance employee performance and organizational effectiveness.

**Total Rewards & Benefits Administration**

  • Manage employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, retirement, disability, life insurance, and wellness initiatives.
  • Works directly with all benefit brokers and vendors.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment and benefit renewals.
  • Conduct market compensation reviews and provide recommendations regarding salary structures and workforce competitiveness.
  • Responsible for administration and compliance of retirement and other employee benefit programs.

**Compliance & Risk Management**

  • Maintain knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Support audits, reporting requirements, and regulatory reviews.
  • Coordinate applicable tracking and compliance activities related to licensure, credentialing, certifications, training requirements, and regulatory screenings.
  • Manages workers’ compensation administration and leave management programs, including FMLA and FAMLi.

**Human Resources Operations**

  • Oversee the integrity, maintenance, and optimization of HR information systems and applicant tracking systems.
  • Analyze workforce data and provide meaningful reports, trends, and recommendations.
  • Ensure accurate employee records and personnel file compliance.
  • Maintain HR metrics and dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

**Leadership & Team Development**

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, and performance management for assigned HR staff.
  • Establish clear expectations, accountability standards, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration within the HR department and across the organization.
