Upper School Substitute

## Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Prior teaching experience is preferred. Excellent communication skills are required.
## Duties and Responsibilities
**REPORTS TO:** Substitute Coordinator
**POSITION STATUS:** Per diem
**EXPECTATION:** Serve as a positive role model who supports the mission, vision and core values of the school.

1. Following the lesson plan left by the teacher for whom he/she is substituting in accordance with district's philosophy, goals and objectives.
2. Meeting and instructing assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
3. Establishing and maintaining order in the classroom.
4. Maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
5. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment and facilities.
6. Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and School Policies.
7. Cooperate with school personnel.
8. Establishing and maintaining cooperative relations with other employees.
9. Reporting to the Substitute Coordinator or his/her designee at the beginning and end of the school day.
10. Other responsibilities as directed by the Head of Upper School.
