**Maintenance Technician**

**Pay Range**

**$15.00 – $25.00 per hour**, depending on experience, certifications, technical skill, and demonstrated performance. This role includes structured pay progression based on reliability, mastery of mechanical systems, and excellence in supporting safe and efficient facility operations.

**Objective**

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all equipment and facilities owned or leased by Richmond Fitness, Inc. Work must be performed in accordance with safety standards, predictive and preventative maintenance systems, and operational processes that support the achievement of business goals.

**Maintenance Technician Responsibilities**

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all facilities and equipment
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test functionality, and make necessary adjustments
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities
  • Perform plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance tasks
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material‑handling equipment
  • Detect faulty operations or defective materials and report unusual situations to appropriate supervision
  • Comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas
  • Perform daily operation and documentation within the software‑based maintenance program
  • Provide an adequate personal vehicle to assist in daily operations, including transporting parts and pool supplies
  • Accurately complete administrative paperwork and submit to the GM for approval (payroll records, personnel records, new hire paperwork, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned

**Supervisory Responsibility**

This position has **no** supervisory responsibilities.

**Work Environment**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Noise levels in certain areas may be loud.

**Physical Demands**

This position is physically active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over **75 pounds**. Regular talking and hearing are required.

**Position Type / Expected Hours of Work**

Full‑time position Monday–Friday, **7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.**, with a required 30‑minute lunch break.

**Travel**

Considerable travel between facilities, vendors, customers, and other locations is required. A mileage‑based travel allowance is provided. Must provide an adequate vehicle for transporting parts and supplies.

**Required Education and Experience**

  1. Minimum **three years** commercial building maintenance experience, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, building systems, fittings, and structural repair
  2. Successful completion of state‑approved HVAC training (may be waived if incumbent agrees to begin training in the next available class after hire)
  3. EPA Universal Certification

  • Use of aerial work platforms is required. Training and certification will be provided by Colonial Powerlift after hire.
