About The Role
## Description
As a Press Operator at REDWALL, you'll play a key role in our manufacturing process. You'll help ensure that our prduction line runs smoothly and efficiently. Your work will help us maintain high standards of quality and keep our customers happy.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Able to read, write, and understand mock up commands and instructions in work packages
- Always get approval before executing every work order or color changes within a work order
- Obtain the correct frames and inks for the job and/or instruct the press puller to obtain the necessary materials
- Set up the press machine to ensure quality printing
- Load the substrates according to the model provided in the order
- Ensure that a quality product is produced
- Communicate with Packer/Catcher any concerns about the Work
- Instruct and train the Puller on how to perform quality control of the t-shirts before removing them
- Instruct and train the Puller on how to properly remove the shirt and place it in the dryer
- Always operate the crimping machine safely
- Teardown press machine
- Train the puller on how to teardown the press machine for future attendees
- Keep the work area clean at all times (Before and After your shift)
- Arrive on time to work at all times. (your turn)
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Report any safety issues to your supervisor
- Report any quality issues to your supervisor immediately
## Qualifications
**Required Education:**
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Candidates with a background in graphic arts are preferred (But it is not mandatory)
**Required Skills and Abilities:**
- Must be able to read and write (understand work orders, mockups and instructions in job packet)
- Must have the ability to identify colors
- Basic Math Skills (addition, subtraction, division, etc.)
- Basic computer skills
- Be able to work quickly and efficiently
- Attention to detail is a MUST
- Ability to communicate with crew
- Ability to train others
- Have a positive attitude and able to follow instructions
- Be on time for work at all times (your shift)
- Maintain work area clean at all times (Before and After your shift)
- Self-motivated and able to work alone
- Maintain safe work environment and report any safety issues to your supervisor
- Ability to accurately follow standard operating procedures with minimal direction
- Able to efficiently work at a fast speed in a fast-paced setting and meet quality control standards established
- Documentation skills, accuracy, and attention-to-detail necessary
- Communicate with team members in a positive manner
- Follow instructions with eagerness to learn more and be a value member
- May be required to work weekends (Saturdays) and or overtime during busy period
- Willingness and ability to be cross trained on other machines and in other departments
- Candidates with knowledge in graphic arts are preferred, but not required
**Physical Demands:**
- Hands-on, fast paced printing production environment
- Standing on your feet for a long period of time 8-10 hours per day
- Walking for a long periods of time 8-10hrs per day
- Will be exposed to warm or cold temperature
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs - 50lbs.
