## Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Cleans all assigned guest rooms according to standards. Maintains work areas in a clean and organized manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Responsible for cleaning guest rooms according to status and adhering to high quality standards.
- Responsible for vacuuming, empty trash, changing linens, scrubbing toilets and bathtubs, mopping, and dusting.
- Responsible for identifying engineering problems during guest room cleaning; preparing work orders and forward to supervisor for assignment.
- Responsible for contributing to conservation standards, including water, energy, supplies, and linen.
- Responsible for reporting and turning in all lost and found articles promptly.
- Responsible for assisting in maintaining cleanliness of public areas assigned.
- Responsible for reporting immediately any safety concerns, damage to room, or missing items.
- Responsible for working closely with inspector/inspectress to insure guest rooms are met with the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Responsible for maintaining the organization, and keeping cart well supplied at all times.
- Responsible for stocking rooms with all the basic necessities guests will need for their stay.
- Responsible for performing other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for the familiarity of the hotel, casino, services we offer, and the image we wish to project.
- Responsible for replacing event schedules with updated calendar of events, damaged event schedules and seeing that each room has a current event schedule
## Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior housekeeping experience preferred. Some knowledge of sanitation and cleaning standards.
SKILLS
- Ability to follow instructions, directions, and meet deadlines, including the thorough cleaning of a minimum number of rooms as specified by management
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires lifting or carrying weight up to 40 lbs., walking, and standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing of stairs.
EQUPIMENT
Utilize equipment such as pan and broom, vacuum, step ladder, and scrubbers. Uses chemicals in a proper, safe and responsible manner.
MENTAL DEMANDS
Distinguish between clean and dirty surfaces.
WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
