Senior Graphic Designer

## Description

***This is a temporary position for a period of six months.***The Senior Graphic Designer directs and manages all design work for promotional materials for the library system. They use the Adobe Suite of software to create and produce promotional materials designed to educate the community about programs and other resources available at The Library. The Senior Graphic Designer ensures the correct use of The Library’s brand standards and guidelines for all promotional materials. This position supervises the graphic artist assistant and will assist the supervisor and collaborate with department staff on projects which focus on outreach activities throughout Dauphin County communities.

## Qualifications

Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree preferred or major or significant coursework in Art, Graphic Design, or related disciplines required.

Experience: Minimum of three years of related work experience required. Experience in using computer software for graphic design, desktop publishing, and website design, layout, paste-up techniques, desktop publishing, and website design.

Required: Ability to produce accurate, grammatically correct written communication. Excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to move 25 lbs. unassisted.

Requires independent transportation for travel to libraries, programs, and outreach locations.
