## Description

**Summary of Cashier Position:**

The Cashier will provide friendly, attentive service to guests placing orders. This role ensures that orders are accurately prepared, creating a positive and seamless experience for every guest.

**Licensing Requirements:**

• Valid Food Handlers Certification
• Valid Alcohol Service Certification

**Duties & Responsibilities:**

• Greet guest upon arrival and thank them as they leave
• Must be able to process cash, credit, and electronic transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring accurate calculation of bills and change for guests
• Efficiently handle incoming orders, accurately input into the point of sale (POS) system, and coordinate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate order preparation
• Familiar with the restaurant's menu offerings, including meats and accompanying sides, to effectively describe items and recommend additional purchases to enhance the guest dining experience
• Answer the phone and provide superior customer service
• Prioritize important tasks and manage time effectively
• Maintain a clean, neat, stocked work area
• Assist in setting up and maintaining beverage and dessert areas at the cashier station
• Pour Alcoholic Beverages
• Serve desserts and sides as necessary
• Clean restaurant dining areas when assigned
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or general manager
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested by upper management at any time

**Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:**

• Basic knowledge of food service operations, BBQ menu items, safe food handling, sanitation standards
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Must maintain a professional appearance and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members
• Proficiency in basic math, with the ability to accurately handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions while operating a point of sale (POS) system

## Qualifications
**Qualifications:**

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous experience working in a BBQ restaurant preferred
• High School degree preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S

**Work Environment / Physical Demands:**

Expected to keep work location a safe and healthy work environment. Utilize basic safety measures to keep the work environment safe. Report any safety concerns to your supervisor. Where safety rules or best practices require that protective clothing/glove/shoes/equipment to be worn, or apparatus utilized, employees must wear clothing /gloves, shoes and equipment and use the apparatus.

• Wash and sanitize hands after removing trash, eating and drinking, using the bathroom, touching own face or hair, or handling food prep
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the duration of the shift
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, hot (kitchen) and cold (walk ins)
