About The Role
## Operator 2nd Shift
**SUMMARY:** Responsible for all activities associated with running the folder gluer including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for efficient make-ready cartons assigned.
- Accurate and efficient set up of all folding and gluing operations of the machine in accordance with proper setup techniques.
- Minimize waste of sheet stock and glue.
- Monitors adhesive application for proper placement, adhesion, and quantity.
- Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
- Adheres to production schedule. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals.
- Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
- Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
- Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles; vibrations
**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**
- Required to maintain a current Forklift License

## Qualifications
**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Prior work experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
- Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
- Able to read tape measure with speed and accuracy.
- Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can translate into efficient operation.
- Working knowledge of layouts, production specifications and product quality specifications.
- Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
