Assistant Manager

## Description

Job Purpose

• The Assistant Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant. They ensure compliance and company standards are maintained, as well as direct staff to ensure that guests have a great dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Proper operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Executing steps of service to provide excellent guest experiences.
• Creating and managing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
• Maintaining food quality standards to deliver consistent and delicious meals.
• Enforcing health and food safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Recruiting, hiring, and training new employees to build a strong team.
• Monitoring employee performance and providing feedback for improvement.
• Coaching and developing staff to enhance their skills and career growth.
• Handling guest complaints and resolving issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Enforcing company policies and procedures to maintain a consistent and compliant work environment.
• Managing money handling procedures, including cash management and reconciliation.
• Conducting inventory counts, ordering supplies, and performing inventory reconciliation.
• Performing other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the restaurant.

## Qualifications

Required Education

• High School diploma or GED
• Foodservice Management Certification

Required Experience

• 2-4 years leadership experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Microsoft Office proficiency

Preferred Experience

• 2-4 years leadership experience in a full-service restaurant setting
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
