**Paraprofessional – Day Treatment**

Youth Haven Services is expanding our Day Treatment (DTX) program, and we are seeking dedicated **Paraprofessional** to join our team as we open a new day treatment facility in Persons County, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting youth and families, enjoys providing direct care and skill‑building services, and is ready to play a key role in helping clients achieve stability and success in their homes and communities.
Youth Haven Services is a comprehensive mental health agency specializing in serving children, adolescents, and families. We are currently hiring one Qualified Professional to join our growing Day Treatment (DTX) Program.
These roles focus on providing direct support, skill building, case coordination, and therapeutic interventions for youth with behavioral and mental health needs, all guided by their Person‑Centered Plans. Services are delivered in the home and community, following YHS and state guidelines.

| **Education**: High School diploma -paraprofessional or AP-Bachelor’s Degree in the Human services **Work experience**: Preferably some experience with population served. **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities****: K**nowledge of community resources; communication skills (written and verbal); background/training/experience, competencies in the use of a personal computer (word processing/excel), e-notes, photocopier and fax machine; organizational abilities; prioritization skills; flexibility; ability to multitask; ability to develop productive relationships; ability to produce in a fast-paced environment, ability to develop responsible decisions and exercise sound judgment. Takes direction well and demonstrates initiative. **Travel Requirements**: Service is delivered in school setting. |

| **1.** | Be present in the school with clients during school hours. Review’s client information and person-centered plans to understand needs, limitations, strengths and goals of individuals served. Actively participates in the progress of Person-Centered Plan. Follows Person Centered Plan to aid in development of leisure time, interests, and activities; therapeutic mentoring and behavior and anger management skills training. Become familiar with IEP *(individual education plan)* and academic goals to assist students with individual needs. | 40% |
| **2.** | Provides delivery of skill building activities such as daily and community living skills, socialization, adaptation, symptom monitoring and management skills. | 15% |
| **3.** | Completes documentation [on client progress] as outlined by program guidelines on a timely basis. | 15% |
| **4.** | You are required to consistently follow the conduct policies and daily operating procedures of your assigned school. Manages behaviors and maintains discipline in accordance with program procedures. | 10% |
