**Position Summary:**
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Emergency Medicine/Sports Medicine Physician to join our growing team. **The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in both Emergency Medicine and Sports Medicine, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to athletes and active individuals of all ages.** You will be involved in seeing patients at Forte Fast, our specialized urgent care for orthopedic and sports injuries, across multiple locations. This role offers opportunities to serve as a team physician for high school sports teams, with potential for collegiate and professional team physician roles as they arise. The position can offer flexibility to maintain a part-time role, allowing continued practice in Emergency Medicine if desired.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide comprehensive care for acute and chronic sports-related injuries
- Serve as a team physician for high school teams, with potential for future collegiate and professional team involvement.
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Perform musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures
- Participate in community outreach and sports events to promote injury prevention and wellness.
- Stay current with the latest research and advancements in sports medicine and emergency care.
- Educate patients, families, and the community on sports injury prevention and health maintenance.
**Qualifications:**
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine and Sports Medicine.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state.
- Proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with a focus on sports injuries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
**Preferred Experience:**
- Experience working with athletes at all ages and levels, including recreational, youth, high school, collegiate, and professional sports.
- Previous involvement in sports medicine research or publications.
- Familiarity with the latest technologies and techniques in sports medicine.
