## Lead Residential Services That Make a Difference

Are you a strong, hands-on leader who can build an effective team, manage residential operations, and remain composed during challenging situations?

Join **U.S.VETS** as a Resident Services Coordinator at the BETterment Community. In this leadership role, you will coordinate and supervise residential programs and services, oversee Resident Services staff, and help create a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment where residents can achieve greater independence and successfully transition to permanent housing.

## Key Responsibilities

  • **Department Leadership:** Supervise and manage the Resident Services Department, including staff scheduling, performance, training, and daily oversight.
  • **Residential Program Operations:** Implement and maintain the residential program structure while ensuring services are delivered consistently and effectively.
  • **24-Hour Site Coverage:** Ensure adequate staffing and coverage for all shifts and remain available to respond to on-call emergencies.
  • **Resident Support Services:** Oversee the delivery of essential services, including shelter, food, hygiene supplies, mail services, and other resident needs.
  • **Therapeutic Community:** Foster a respectful, supportive, and therapeutic living environment that promotes resident stability and independence.
  • **Staff Development:** Provide guidance, supervision, coaching, and training to staff responsible for delivering direct residential services.
  • **Safety and Facility Oversight:** Coordinate room checks, cleaning schedules, and other activities necessary to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free environment.
  • **Program Compliance and Documentation:** Ensure accurate completion and maintenance of room and bed logs, transportation records, daily activity logs, testing reports, and other required departmental documentation.
  • **Transportation Coordination:** Organize daily shuttle routes and other transportation services required by the program.
  • **Property and Inventory Management:** Oversee donations, supplies, and inventory and collaborate with the Program Manager, Property Manager, and program staff to address facility concerns.
  • **Substance-Free Environment:** Oversee drug and alcohol screening procedures, when applicable, to support a safe, sober, and substance-free community.
  • **Operational Collaboration:** Work closely with the Program Manager and other departments to ensure site and program needs are addressed promptly and effectively

## Qualifications
## Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred.
  • In place of a degree, qualifying experience may include:
  • Twenty years of retired military service; or
  • Seven years of management experience with a veteran-specific organization.
  • At least two years of experience in program management, staff supervision, program development, or budget management preferred.
  • Experience serving veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, individuals with disabilities, families in need, or culturally diverse populations.
  • Demonstrated leadership, staff management, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with residents, employees, leadership, and community stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated personal and financial integrity, sound judgment, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team-based environment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must meet organizational insurance requirements and successfully complete required driver training.
