Wash Off Associate

## Description
**Position Summary**
Position is responsible for determining if a piece of furniture sent to the repair area requires washing off/removal of finish before a repair can be made.
**Position Details**

• Inspects furniture in need of repair to determine is the finish needs to be washed off/removed before repair can be made
• Determines if the entire case needs to be washed off or if the repair can be accomplished if only part of the product is washed off
• Tapes around area of furniture to be washed and removes the finish
• Repairs defects after finish is removed
• Drains, refills, and cleans wash off bucket as necessary
• Pumps material from pump house to bucket & disposes of used rags daily
• Observes plant safety rules
• Keeps work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor

## Qualifications
**Position Requirements**

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous whitewood repair/wash off experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge on usage of various sanders preferred

• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull & bend over the course of 8 hours
• Must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds; up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Must have good hand/eye coordination
• Must be able to match colors
• Must be able to use hand tools as needed
