## Description

An athletic coach at Summit Christian Academy is responsible for overseeing and guiding student-athletes in a Christ-centered environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, and personal growth. The coach will promote athletic excellence while encouraging students to develop godly character and glorify God through their performance on and off the field.

### **Key Responsibilities:**

• Plan and lead practices, training sessions, and games for the assigned sport.
• Teach fundamentals, strategies, and rules of the sport.
• Model and foster a positive team culture rooted in Christian values and sportsmanship.
• Supervise student-athletes during all team-related activities.
• Collaborate with the Athletic Director regarding scheduling, facilities, equipment, and program needs.
• Maintain open communication with parents, athletes, and school staff.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members.
• Adhere to school policies and any applicable league or association regulations.

### **Qualifications:**

• A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Passion for mentoring students and integrating faith into athletics.
• Prior coaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sport-specific rules and training techniques.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and professional conduct.
