**Job Title: Automotive Mechanic**
**SUMMARY:**
Performs maintenance and repairs on the fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment used on job sites, which includes everything from routine checks on light-duty vehicles to complex overhauls of heavy machinery like excavators and bulldozers. This role involves diagnosing problems with mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, performing repairs, conducting safety and emissions tests, and keeping detailed maintenance records. Work under the direction of the Project Manager.
**Tasks and Capabilities Required:**
- Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of issues on vehicles and heavy equipment, using both manual and computerized diagnostic tools.
- Perform regular services like oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and safety inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and reliably.
- Overhaul and repair engines, transmissions, and other powertrain components on both gasoline and diesel equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues, including work on batteries, starters, generators, lights, and complex electronic control systems and sensors.
- Maintain and repair heavy construction machinery like tractors and crawlers.
- Use welding techniques (MIG, TIG, or arc) to fabricate and reconstruct parts or equipment as needed.
- Road test equipment and vehicles after repairs to ensure operational defects are fixed before returning them to active service.
- Must be able to clear all requirements to enter US-Base.
**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with a specific understanding of both standard vehicles and heavy construction equipment.
- Proficiency with modern diagnostic equipment to accurately identify problems.
- Ability to lift heavy parts and work in physically demanding conditions for extended periods.
- Ability to maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and hours worked.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to supervisors and other team members.
- High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and Vocational training minimum of 2 year
