## Description
Job Purpose
- The CMS Mechanic at BLAKLEY CORP is responsible for the maintenance and repair of a variety of tools and vehicles, with a primary focus on tool repair. This role ensures that all equipment, including gas and diesel vehicles, diesel semi-trucks, and various small tools, are in optimal working condition to support the company's operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repair and maintenance on gas and diesel vehicles, ensuring they are safe and operational.
- Service and repair diesel semi-trucks to maintain fleet efficiency and safety.
- Repair and maintain small tools such as jack hammers, grinders, vacuums, generators, and electric jack hammers.
- Conduct maintenance on hydraulic systems, including epoxy, transfer pumps, concrete pumps, groat pumps, and water pumps.
- Service and maintain pull-behind trailers to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while performing duties.
## Qualifications
Required Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in mechanical repair or related fields are a plus.
Required Experience
- Demonstrated experience in repairing and maintaining diesel semi-trucks.
- Proven track record of servicing and repairing small tools such as jack hammers, grinders, vacuums, generators, and electric jack hammers.
- Experience with hydraulic systems and pumps, including epoxy, transfer, concrete, groat, and water pumps.
- Familiarity with servicing pull behind trailers.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of mechanical issues.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for vehicle and tool repair.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effectively collaborating with team members and reporting on repair statuses.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge and experience with gas and diesel vehicles.
- Expertise in handling diesel semi-trucks.
- Proficiency in operating and repairing small tools such as jack hammers, grinders, vacuums, generators, and electric jack hammers.
