FY 26-27 PARAPROFESSIONAL I (Classroom-based)

**JOB TITLE:** Classroom Paraprofessional (TK – 1st Grade)
**STATUS:** Part-Time, Up to 22.5 hours/wk,
**REPORTS TO:** Curriculum Coordinator
**SITE:** Panda Land

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**

• Assist classroom teacher as directed
• Monitor & supervise students indoors and outdoors
• Conduct student observations as needed
• Support education program through-out the school day
• Attend educational field trips as needed
• Implement classroom procedures
• Participate in all school emergency and safety plans
• Support all students in all learning activities

## Qualifications
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

• High School Diploma or GED
• 48 semester college units/60 quarter college units OR pass a pre-employment test with 70% or better.
• Current college enrollment, if bachelors not yet earned
• Proficient in reading, writing, and math

**DESIRABLE SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:**

• Bilingual: English/Spanish
• Degree in Education or related field
• Experience working in a primary classroom setting
• Experience with small group presentations
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Experience and commitment to working collaboratively with staff, parents, and community

**COMPENSATION/BENEFITS**

• $20.00 - $24.00/hr. (no bachelor's degree); $27.00 - $31.00/hr. (w/bachelor's degree) $32.00 - $37.00/hr (w/credential or master's degree)
• Sick Time Accrual

**Additional Information**

Upon receiving an offer of employment

• Must pass a criminal background check (Live Scan) with the Department of Justice (DOJ)
• Must provide a Tuberculosis skin test (Mantoux) clearance within 60 days of employment
• Will be assigned mandated state training to be completed prior to the first day of employment
