Floor Tech (71605)

## Description

A Floor Technician is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and restoring various types of flooring in commercial, healthcare, or industrial settings. This role ensures floors are safe, sanitary, and visually well-maintained.

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors regularly

Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, and auto scrubbers

Strip, wax, seal, and polish floors

Shampoo and maintain carpets

Remove stains, spills, and debris promptly

Follow proper cleaning procedures and safety guidelines

Use and store cleaning chemicals safely

Maintain equipment and report any repairs needed

Place warning signs to prevent accidents (e.g., wet floor signs)

Other duties as assigned

## Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Experience with floor care equipment (helpful but often not required)
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Physical stamina (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
