## Description

Booker T. Washington Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team. The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate will take pride in providing excellent service while supporting the health and well-being of our residents.

## Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, offices, and common areas.
• Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and polish floors and furniture.
• Empty trash containers and dispose of waste according to facility procedures.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other surfaces as assigned.
• Replenish paper products, soap, and other housekeeping supplies.
• Follow infection control policies and safety procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and supply needs to the supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies in a safe and organized manner.
• Assist with room preparation for new admissions and resident transfers.
• Respond promptly and courteously to resident and staff requests.
• Participate in special cleaning projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Administrator.

## Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, long-term care, hospitality, or a related field preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and maintain a professional attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
