### Job Summary

The Host/Greeter is the first point of contact for guests dining at the restaurant. This role is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. The ideal candidate has a friendly personality, professional demeanor, and excellent communication skills.

### Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly as they enter the restaurant.
• Manage guest flow by accurately estimating wait times and managing the seating chart.
• Escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and introduce the server if needed.
• Handle reservations using the reservation system.
• Answer phone calls, take to-go orders (if applicable), and assist with general inquiries.
• Communicate wait times and table status updates to guests clearly and politely.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and appearance of the host stand and entrance area.
• Coordinate with servers, bussers, and management to ensure smooth table turnover and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor and manage the overall flow of the dining room to optimize seating and service.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and refer to a manager when necessary.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and service standards of the restaurant or hotel brand.
