### Job Summary

The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel property. This includes patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance systems, responding to emergencies, and enforcing hotel policies. The ideal candidate is observant, professional, and capable of handling a variety of situations with discretion and calm.

### Key Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel property (interior and exterior) regularly to identify safety and security risks or suspicious activity.
• Monitor security systems, surveillance cameras, and alarms to detect and respond to unusual activity.
• Respond promptly to guest or staff calls regarding disturbances, theft, accidents, or other safety concerns.
• Escort guests or employees to/from vehicles or hotel areas as needed.
• Maintain a visible presence in public areas to deter misconduct or unauthorized access.
• Document all incidents, safety violations, and maintenance concerns in detailed security reports.
• Enforce hotel policies, including trespassing regulations and guest behavior standards.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and emergency personnel when needed.
• Perform safety checks on doors, exits, fire extinguishers, and equipment regularly.
• Assist with crowd control during large events, check-ins, or emergencies.
• Support hotel management in enforcing rules and managing difficult or disruptive guests discreetly.

## Qualifications

### Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in hotel security, law enforcement, or a similar role preferred.
• State-issued security guard license or certification (if required by local law).
• CPR, First Aid, or AED certification preferred or required.
• Strong observation and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or emergency situations.
• Physically able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible availability, including overnights, weekends, and holidays
