**Role Summary**
The Director of Sales develops new accounts, maintains existing accounts, implements sales strategies to achieve all goals and maximize profits for the hotels while maintaining customer satisfaction.
**Responsibilities**
- Response timely to prospect client inquiries, qualifies leads and provides RFP’s
- Achieve sales goals by prospecting clients in the local hotel market. Must meet new outside sales quota per week/month.
- Achieve and conduct site visits/tours as required.
- Meets with and maintains rapport with individuals and contacts in order to produce groups business, to include Room Sales, F & B Sales and Catering/Banquet Sales
- Provide contract and event details to the Catering Services Manager in a timely manner.
- Maintain liaison with hotel operations and revenue management to ensure contracted services are provided
- Yield potential group business with Revenue Strategy teams for rates and availability
- Creates proposals and contracts for group business
- Generate and close all hotel sales contracts
- Maintain client files; generate and distribute client “Thank you” letter and client feedback
- Utilize old group files and GRC to locate previous groups with potential rebooking opportunity
- Initiate scheduling and conduct pre-conference meetings for all group clients
- Conducts site tours for scheduled and non-scheduled prospects
- Prepare and get approval on amenity request for all VIP clients
- Utilize Lead Generation Report to log and track all proposed, tentative and closed group business, client correspondence, and future follow-up
- Attend industry meetings, and events to maintain good rapport with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor’s Authority, Chambers of Commerce and other professional organizations
- Attend trade shows to generate new group business contacts and follows-up with contacts and leads that are generated
- Ensure sales activities meet or exceed individual, team, revenue and other applicable goals
- Prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
- Other duties as assigned
## Qualifications
- Strong A.B.C. mentality!
- BA / BS degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sales Manager/Director selling group room blocks, special events and weddings for multi-location hotel company.
- Must have existing client base across all market segments.
- Strong negotiations skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Great attention to detail, follow up and consistency
- Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word) and POS system experience.
- Sitting, standing, walking, bending, climbing stairs, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to Company standards.
- Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to pass drug and background screening.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
