## Description

This position is responsible for the management of the full sales cycle of InterMed’ s services and products. The Vice President of Business Development should have relevant experience in the medical service field and a strong understanding of the industry. Have the ability to sell products and complex services within the healthcare industry to senior-level executives and key department heads. The position also requires a demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of new technology trends and how they would apply to real-world projects. In addition, the position provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning, territory planning, and development of products and services to meet market demand.

| ⚙️ DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES |

| - Develops and implements strategic sales plans to achieve territory and corporate objectives for all services and product categories. - Meets with key clients to build and maintain relationships, negotiate and close deals within the structure of a corporate sales department. - Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and negotiation with special emphasis on closing deals. - Research customers’ needs to develop products and services proposals. - Respond to Request for Proposals (RFP). - Work within company processes for development and necessary approvals for proposals. - Maintain and increase revenues and market share within assigned territory by developing an effective business plan to penetrate competitive accounts and drive growth within existing accounts. - Performs other duties as assigned. |

| 🎓 PREFERRED EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS |

| - At least two years of previous sales experience in the healthcare industry. - Knowledge of healthcare workflow and healthcare budgeting preferred. - Experience in direct business to business outside sales managing large territories. - Must have a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. - Must be willing and able to travel 50% of the time. |

| 🏗️ WORKING CONDITIONS |

| - Requires constant contact with staff and public. - Work is performed in air conditioned/heated facilities. - Requires exposure to outside elements up to 10% of the time. - Requires frequent (40% to 60% of the time) sitting and working on a computer screen. - Requires constant ability to drive and move freely around the customer’s offices which could include climbing stairs and reaching in cabinets. - Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. - Lifts up to 50 pounds occasionally. |
