**Now Hiring: Pool Estimator**

**Location: Pataskala, OH | Full-Time Onsite | Reports to: Director of Operations**

We're looking for a Pool Estimator who thrives on organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our projects are profitable, properly planned, and set up for success before the first shovel ever hits the ground.

**About the Role**

As the Pool Estimator, you will be responsible for developing accurate and profitable estimates for custom pool construction projects while supporting purchasing, project setup, and administrative functions within the Pool Division.

You will work closely with Sales, Operations, Vendors, and Subcontractors to ensure projects are accurately budgeted, materials are procured efficiently, documentation is complete, and projects are positioned for successful execution.

This is a highly collaborative role that combines estimating, purchasing, project coordination, and operational support.

**What You’ll Do**

**Estimating Accuracy & Job Cost Development (25%)**

Prepare detailed project estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, develop labor and material budgets, and ensure projects meet profitability expectations.

**Purchasing & Vendor Management (20%)**

Manage purchase orders, coordinate material procurement, maintain vendor relationships, obtain competitive pricing, and support cost-saving initiatives.

**Project Setup & Administrative Coordination (20%)**

Prepare project documentation, maintain project files, coordinate permits and inspections, track customer selections, and ensure projects are ready for turnover to Operations.

**Scope Review & Risk Assessment (15%)**

Review plans, specifications, and project requirements while identifying risks, constructability concerns, and opportunities for value engineering.

**Sales & Operations Support (10%)**

Support estimate reviews, change order pricing, project turnover meetings, customer communication, and operational planning.

**Administrative & Reporting Responsibilities (10%)**

Maintain accurate records, purchasing documentation, project budgets, reporting, forecasting data, and vendor information.

**What Makes You a Great Fit**

  • 8+ years of experience in estimating, construction administration, project coordination, purchasing, or related construction operations in Pool Construction Industry required.
  • Experience reviewing plans, specifications, and project documentation
  • Strong understanding of job costing, budgeting, and financial accountability
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and construction management software such as Buildertrend.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Valid driver's license

## Qualifications

**Required:**

  • 8+ years of experience in pool construction estimating, construction administration, purchasing, project coordination, or related construction operations
  • Direct experience in the pool construction industry
  • Experience reviewing plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project documentation
  • Strong understanding of job costing, budgeting, quantity takeoffs, and financial accountability
  • Experience working with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and purchasing processes
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities at the same time
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and construction management software such as Buildertrend
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
  • Valid driver’s license

**Preferred:**

  • Experience preparing change order pricing and supporting project turnover meetings
  • Familiarity with permits, inspections, customer selections, and project setup
  • Ability to identify project risks, constructability concerns, and value-engineering opportunities
  • Bilingual Spanish/English communication skills
  • Prior experience supporting both estimating and purchasing functions
