# **SUMMARY**

The Operator drives gasoline or diesel-powered tractor to move materials, draw implements, tow trailers, pull out objects embedded in ground, or pull cable of winch to raise, lower, or load heavy material or equipment

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**

• None

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned

• Fastens attachments such as graders, plows, rollers, mowers (under 2000 lbs), backhoes, seeders, and disc harrows to tractor.
• Adjusts equipment for proper operation, lubricates and makes minor repairs to tractor and attachments such as tightening bolts, and replacing washers, cotter pins, and screws.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
• Works well as part of a team
• Ability to complete respirator fit and breathability test.
• Obtain and maintain Q Clearance

# **EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**

• - High School diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of experience via on-the-job training required.
• Maintain a valid New Mexico driver’s license
