# **SUMMARY**
The Operator drives gasoline or diesel-powered tractor to move materials, draw implements, tow trailers, pull out objects embedded in ground, or pull cable of winch to raise, lower, or load heavy material or equipment
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- None
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Fastens attachments such as graders, plows, rollers, mowers (under 2000 lbs), backhoes, seeders, and disc harrows to tractor.
- Adjusts equipment for proper operation, lubricates and makes minor repairs to tractor and attachments such as tightening bolts, and replacing washers, cotter pins, and screws.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
**REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES**
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
- Works well as part of a team
- Ability to complete respirator fit and breathability test.
- Obtain and maintain Q Clearance

# **EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
- - High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience via on-the-job training required.
- Maintain a valid New Mexico driver’s license
