Buchart Horn is seeking a visionary **Vice President of Transportation** to lead one of the firm’s most influential engineering practices. With 11 offices across 7 states, this executive role provides firmwide leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for a multidisciplinary team delivering integrated transportation engineering solutions across our geographic footprint.

This position is ideal for a senior transportation engineer ready to shape not only major projects, but the future of a growing business unit and the professionals within it. You will define technical standards, guide strategic priorities, and drive long-term growth for the Transportation Strategic Business Unit—advancing infrastructure that improves mobility, safety, and community resilience.

**What You’ll Do**

• **Lead and grow the Transportation Strategic Business Unit**, ensuring technical excellence, operational performance, and profitability
• **Provide executive leadership** to directors and managers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional development
• **Drive business development** through strong client relationships, strategic pursuits, and market expansion
• **Oversee project delivery**, staffing, budgets, and financial performance across all regional offices
• **Advance quality standards** and promote integrated, multidisciplinary project delivery

## Qualifications
**What We’re Looking For**

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
• Proven experience in **transportation engineering and technical leadership**, including design oversight
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage business operations, and support strategic growth
• Strong communication, financial management, and strategic planning capabilities
