## Description
**About the role:**
The Human Resources professional at DCB supports the daily operations of our HR department, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, maintaining meticulous records, and serving as a key point of contact for staff HR inquiries. This position requires professionalism, discretion, and a strong commitment to supporting employees and school leadership with care and efficiency.
**Key responsibilities:**
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR inquiries related to time, attendance, payroll, and workers’ compensation.
- Partner with our finance team (EdOps) to process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Respond promptly to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies.
- Complete employment verifications and maintain organized HR records.
- Support HR compliance through volunteer application processing and background documentation management.
- Translate HR policy and procedural documents from English to Spanish.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding, employee record updates, and HRIS maintenance.
- Track attendance, PTO, and timesheets; prepare HR reports and data summaries.
- Collaborate on recruitment, hiring, and HR-led training events.
- Uphold confidentiality and represent the HR department with professionalism at all times.
- Support special HR projects as assigned.
## Qualifications
**Qualifications:**
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written communication).
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with diplomacy and discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and HRIS systems, specially Paycom.
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of administrative or HR-related experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SPHR certification is a plus.
**Additional information:**
- Hybrid schedule: 4 days in the office, 1 remote day.
- Compensation: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
