Job Purpose

• The Behavioral Tech III at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing advanced support and care to individuals with behavioral health needs during Shift 3. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety, well-being, and therapeutic progress of clients through direct care, observation, and intervention.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and document client behavior and progress, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.
• Implement and support individualized treatment plans as directed by clinical staff.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques in response to client needs.
• Facilitate group activities and therapeutic sessions to promote client engagement and recovery.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to center policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and treatment for clients.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care for clients as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health care.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to support treatment goals and outcomes.

## Qualifications

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Required Experience

• Minimum of Two (2) years’ experience in substance abuse and mental health setting is required
• Desirable to have experience working with psychiatric or co-occurring consumers of the adult population

Required Skills and Abilities

• Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and basic computer applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and composure.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all interactions.
