The Senior Manager, Quality leads the quality function across three manufacturing plants, ensuring products consistently meet the highest standards of quality, safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. This role develops and executes the organization's quality strategy, driving continuous improvement in product and process performance while strengthening compliance with ISO, UL, and other applicable standards.

Working cross-functionally with operations, engineering, purchasing, suppliers, and customer-facing teams, the Senior Manager, Quality champions a culture where quality is embedded in every process. Success in this role is measured by reducing defects, improving operational performance, strengthening customer satisfaction, and fostering a proactive, continuous improvement mindset across the organization.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities:**

  • Lead the quality organization across three plants, providing direction, coaching, accountability, and development for Quality Supervisors and supporting quality personnel.
  • Develop and implement a strategic quality plan that proactively drives process and product quality improvements, reduces defects, strengthens process capability, and improves customer satisfaction.
  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve a robust Quality Management System, including policies, procedures, work instructions, documentation controls, audit processes, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable ISO and UL standards, customer requirements, internal specifications, and regulatory or certification obligations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Process Engineering, Customer Service, and leadership teams to identify risks, solve problems, and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Lead customer quality issue resolution by coordinating investigation, containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and effective communication to restore confidence and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Work closely with Quality personnel and Process Engineers to determine root causes of product or process nonconformances and implement corrective and preventive actions that are verified for effectiveness.
  • Hold raw material suppliers accountable for meeting purchasing specifications, quality requirements, and developing and executing corrective actions due to supplier-related quality issues.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve their processes, strengthen supplier performance, and build productive long-term supplier relationships.
  • Establish, monitor, and report quality performance indicators, including customer complaints, internal defects, supplier quality performance, corrective action closure, audit findings, scrap/rework, and cost of poor quality.
  • Support internal, supplier, customer, ISO, and UL audits; ensure audit findings are addressed promptly and corrective actions are sustained.
  • Promote a quality-first culture by training teams, reinforcing standard work, encouraging problem solving, and driving accountability at all levels.

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or a related technical field required.
  • Quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, including experience managing direct reports.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, or improving a Quality Management System.
  • Working knowledge of ISO quality systems and audit requirements; experience with UL compliance strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading root cause analysis, corrective action, preventive action, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications, purchasing specifications, quality requirements, and technical documentation.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills, especially when addressing quality issues, corrective actions, and relationship-sensitive concerns.
  • Experience working with suppliers on quality performance, specification compliance, corrective action, and process improvement.
  • Proficiency with quality tools and methods such as 5 Why, fishbone analysis, Pareto analysis, control plans, process audits, and data-based problem solving.
  • Wire and cable manufacturing experience preferred.

**Employment Type:**Full-Time

**Compensation & Benefits:**

The salary range for this role is $115,000 to $135,000 and represents the base pay for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, and work location.
