**Position Summary**
The Milieu Manager oversees the Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) team and physical plant at a designated facility. The Milieu manager’s responsibilities include training, scheduling, and immediate supervision of the team as well as oversight of the physical plant including compliance with regulatory body standards. Additionally, they collaborate with the Executive Director to maintain client safety and customer service. The Milieu Manager also provides support for both staff and clients through various clinical and administrative activities, with the goal of achieving optimal client outcomes.

***Outside the organization***: Initiates and maintains professional therapeutic engagement with clients/families, clinical providers, referral partners and vendors as needed and directed.
**Position Responsibilities**
**Essential Responsibilities**
- Provides immediate supervision for BHTs in the oversite of clients ensuring client safety.
- Participates in hiring process, training, coaching, mentoring, and completes annual employee evaluations.
- Leads meetings for the BHTs team and engages team in performance improvement activities.
- Collaborates with the Director and represents BHTs team in Treatment Team, Leadership, and other meetings as required.
- Understands the organization’s vision and strategic goals.
- Ensures contract compliance and program quality according to local state and federal laws, as well as best practices.
- Ensure that the values and cultural beliefs are considered when assisting with the treatment of the clients.
- Monitors program goals in alignment with established policies and procedures.
- Promotes client involvement in the treatment facility; supports clients throughout their treatment journey.
- Performs routine forms of daily client care while assisting and ensuring timely and effective clinical activities, charting and orientation completion.
- Collaborates with the Clinical Director to ensure appropriate emotional support is provided to clients.
- Communicates pertinent client information to the Clinical team in a timely manner.
- Maintains timely/clinically appropriate documentation, ensuring BHTs are trained in and adhere to documentation processes.
- Assists with the timely completion of administrative duties, including but not limited to checklists, answering phones, mail distribution, scheduling.
- Assists with the timely completion of housekeeping duties, including cleaning of facilities (i.e., taking out trash, loading and unloading dishwasher, laundry, running errands and other duties as assigned).
- Represents the BHTs team in treatment team meetings, leadership meetings, and other meetings as needed.
- Conducts tours for clients, family members, interns, visitors, as requested.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in training and educational opportunities.
- Serves as a trainer and mentor to BHTs, providing coaching for continuous quality improvement.
- Oversees function and condition of physical plant to ensure issues are recognized and initiates repairs in a timely manner. Follows up to ensure repairs or issues have been resolved.
- Completes regular documented walk throughs of the physical plant to identify issues or areas of concern.
- Ensure all physical plant inspections remain up to date to meet regulatory body standards.
- Ensure emergency drills and safety inspections are completed and documented in a timely manner.
- Oversees the fleet of company vehicles ensuring they are safe and maintained.
- Maintains communication with all vendors to ensure they are meet our expectations.
- Oversees client trust process.
- Plans and oversees safe client weekend activities and Holiday events.
**Additional Responsibilities**
- Functions within the guidelines of the facility’s Code of Ethics and in accordance with corporate compliance.
- Conducts chart audits following program policy timelines, as requested.
- Demonstrates an ability to adapt to changes in the facility function, management styles, and facility routines.
- Reads, understands, adheres to, and models all company policy statements on ethics, conduct, and conflict of interests.
- Maintains positive attitude and acts as a team player with others on the treatment team.
- Attends all supervisory trainings within assigned time frames as required by the facility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

## Qualifications
**Minimum Requirements**
**Education and Experience**
Position requires a bachelor’s degree, a minimum 2 years’ experience in the Health & Human Service Field, preferably within a behavioral healthcare treatment setting and 1+ years of supervision experience or a minimum 5 years’ experience in the Health & Human Service Field, preferably within a behavioral healthcare treatment setting and 2+ years of supervision experience.
**Physical Requirements**
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to communicate with peers, clients and/or vendors.
- Job performance will require the ability to move throughout the building as well as participate in activities outdoors and off facility grounds.
- Performs duties that require the employee to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- May sit or remain stationary for periods of time.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to talk or hear, sit, stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste, or smell.
- Ability to move twenty-five pounds.
**Additional Requirements**
- Clearance of criminal background, TB test, and any other mandatory state/federal requirements.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid driver's license.
