About The Role

## Description

Currently looking for LVN's to fill these shifts

  • Detox: Monday through Friday 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm)
  • Detox: Friday and Saturday 3rd shift (11:00pm - 7:30am)
  • Provide quality nursing care to patients by assessing patient needs and making pertinent patient reports to RN, Charge Nurse and/or attending Physician
  • Formulating, implementing and evaluating nursing treatment approach as a member of the treatment team
  • Initiating action based on the priorities set by the treatment/crisis stabilization plan and the medical regime as designated by the Physician
  • Make reports from off-going shift, reporting any incidents or changes in patient condition to the physician or RN.
  • Monitor all patients on unit in accordance with compliance standards.
  • Check and record vital signs of all patients in accordance with program requirements.
  • Assist other personnel in organizing their assignment if requested or if the need is apparent.
  • Carry out appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures as directed by the RN.
  • Prepare clinical and progress notes utilizing the specified EHR.
  • Complete medication administration as needed.
  • Inform the RN of changes observed for behavioral functioning and treatment, if indicated.
  • Consult with Medical Director or Program Physician when making rounds on the unit and in the delivery of treatment services.
  • Assist Physician and RN in providing a safe environment for all patients.
  • Participate in in-service programs.
  • Participate in program and facility educational programs; and attend facility and nursing meetings as required.
  • Maintain credentials required for job functions.
  • Any other task assigned by supervisor.

## Qualifications
**QUALIFICATIONS:**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Licensed Vocational Nursing License required.
  • Experience in the field may offset formal education requirements.
  • If in Recovery, at least two (2) years continuous sobriety required.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

  • Possesses good oral and written communication skills.
  • Observes patient confidentiality requirements.
  • Knowledge of Chemical Dependency Treatment and Programming
  • Knowledge of associated mental/emotional dysfunction and behavior disorders.
  • Adheres to Facility Policies and Procedures.
  • Adheres to Texas Nurse Practice Act.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal relationship skills with patients and staff members.
  • Performs assigned duties and responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Possesses the ability to control problem situations in a calm and directive manner.
  • Possesses the ability to establish and maintain a rapport with the patients.
  • Possesses the ability to motivate, confront, and self-disclose in an appropriate manner.
  • Demonstrates warmth, realness and empathy.
  • Demonstrated willingness to upgrade knowledge and skills through continued education and training maintaining a high level of personal and professional growth on an on-going basis.
