About The Role
## Description
Homeward Bound Inc., a behavioral health agency, is excited to announce that we are partnering with businesses in our community to reach out to those who may be experiencing homelessness, loss of resources or employment, food insecurity, mental health concerns, substance use issues, and other barriers to being able to live the kind of lives they would like to live.
We are looking for some individuals who are passionate about helping others, want to meet people where they are, problem solve, manage cases, meet people’s physical needs, and help determine how we can most efficiently do these things.
Shift availability will vary but range from 4am-2:30pm and 1:00pm-11:30pm on Sunday through Wednesday, Wednesday through Saturday, and Friday through Monday or another variation of four days with at least one weekend day in rotation. The team is composed of at least 2 people.

Schedule
- 4- 10-hour shifts with 3 days off

## Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- A desire to work and advance in the behavioral health field
- An ability to be flexible and think creatively
- Strong communication skills with an understanding of how to communicate with both compassion and appropriate assertiveness
- Teachability and ability to follow the directives given
- Patience and resilience to work with unpredictable individuals
- An ability to determine what needs can be met in the moment as well needs that can be met later
- Enjoy the collaboration of an interdisciplinary team including peer specialists, law enforcement agencies, counselors, and others
- Be dependable
- Be able to complete both in-person and online trainings
- Have up-to-date Texas driver’s license and liability insurance
- Be comfortable with driving a company vehicle and traveling throughout the metroplex
- Be able to accurately and thoroughly document all encounters as well as track information at the end of shift
