**Job Qualifications:**

  1. High School diploma, GED or equivalent, preferred but not required.
  2. Excellent mathematical, communication and computer skills, be strongly detail oriented and be able to easily multi-task.
  3. Should be able to independently initiate, prioritize, and perform or solve work problems and ultimately achieve work objectives and meet deadlines.
  4. Must be able to effectively communicate in written and verbal form with co-workers, supervisor and management.
  5. Written skills are necessary to properly fill out paperwork.
  6. Must be able to work independently and as a team member.
  7. Follow written (Standard Operating Procedures -SOP’s, company memos & emails) and verbal Instructions.
  8. Minimum of six months related experience with demonstrated aptitude to learn on-the-job.
  9. Familiarity with plant equipment operation and SOPs.
  10. Possess a strong work ethic to positively contribute to the company’s mission, vision, values and environmental policy and quality policy.
  11. Must have a positive attitude, support co-workers to obtain desired objectives, and assist others in their contributions.
  12. Ability to sit/stand/walk for extended periods of time and access stairs and ladders.
  13. Ability to bend, stoop, squat occasionally to frequently.
  14. Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (in required areas) for extended periods of time.
  15. Ability to lift (up to 50 lbs), carry (up to 44 lbs) occasionally to frequently within normal limits.
  16. Ability to adapt to changing paces and processes quickly.
  17. Attentive to the task and own surroundings.
  18. Preferably able to speak Spanish.
  19. Food handler’s cards preferred but not required.

**Requisitos del puesto:**

  7. Seguir instrucciones tanto escritas (Procedimientos Operativos Estándar —SOP—, memorandos de la empresa y correos electrónicos) como verbales.
  8. Un mínimo de seis meses de experiencia relacionada, con aptitud demostrada para aprender durante el desempeño del trabajo.
  9. Familiaridad con el funcionamiento de los equipos de la planta y con los SOP.
  10. Poseer una sólida ética laboral para contribuir positivamente a la misión, visión, valores, política ambiental y política de calidad de la empresa.
  11. Debe mantener una actitud positiva, apoyar a los compañeros de trabajo para alcanzar los objetivos deseados y asistir a los demás en sus contribuciones.
  12. Capacidad para permanecer sentado, de pie o caminando durante periodos prolongados, así como para utilizar escaleras fijas y de mano.
  13. Capacidad para inclinarse, agacharse y ponerse en cuclillas de forma ocasional a frecuente.
  14. Capacidad para utilizar el equipo de protección personal adecuado (en las áreas donde sea requerido) durante periodos prolongados.
  15. Capacidad para levantar (hasta 50 libras) y transportar (hasta 44 libras) cargas de forma ocasional a frecuente, dentro de los límites normales.
  16. Capacidad para adaptarse rápidamente a cambios en los ritmos de trabajo y en los procesos.
  17. Mantenerse atento a la tarea que realiza y a su entorno inmediato.
  18. Preferiblemente, con capacidad para hablar español.
  19. Se prefiere contar con la tarjeta de manipulador de alimentos, aunque no es un requisito obligatorio.
  • **Job Summary:** This position’s purpose is to weigh and cut product to meet production order specifications.
  • **Resumen del puesto:** El propósito de este puesto es pesar y cortar productos para cumplir con las especificaciones de las órdenes de producción.
  • **Job Duties:**
  1. Record information from break down, pick sheet and the work log at the end of the day (including LBS before and after cutting and the variety).
  2. Activate machines and set up material for raw hop processing.
  3. Work with labeling and/or small pack for requests and double-checking the labels.
  4. Weigh, cut and package product efficiently and with the utmost accuracy
  5. Record the weight, temperature and moisture of product.
  6. Receive the imports for processing and packaging by the different weight adjustments.
  7. Label and re-label cut product for storage and shipment.
  8. Set up the bales by lot number as well as variety.
  9. Keep track of product by lot number, bale number and weight.
  10. Document daily process (density, temperatures, powder fines, moisture etc.).
  11. Make copies of paperwork required in the Plant (work orders, production logs, pick sheets etc.).
  12. Submit LBS processed to the supervisor.
  13. Execute all operations and packaging of product in a timely manner.
  14. Confer with department supervision or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
  15. Continuously look for ways to improve process efficiency and notify immediate supervisor of observations and recommendations.
  16. Meet with department supervisor and team members to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
  17. Work in conjunction with Lean Manufacturing Principles in the Pellet Plant.
  18. Maintain sanitary and safe work environment.
  19. Follow safety requirements.
  20. May actively participate on company’s Safety Committee.
  21. Ensure that company safety policies as well as federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations are observed.
  22. Must have a complete understanding of company’s policies, Employee Handbook, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP and cGMP that pertain to their department, to ensure quality, safety, efficiency and sustainability.
