**Basketball Instructor (Rainier Beach Community Center)**

**Associated Recreation Council (ARC)**, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking a qualified **Basketball Instructor** to teach youth basketball classes at Rainier Beach.

This position focuses on teaching fundamental basketball skills in a positive, structured, and inclusive environment.

#### **Status:** Part-time, Seasonal (March – November) **Work Schedule:** Mondays, 4:15 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. **Desired Start Date:** March 23, 2026

#### **Basketball Instructor Responsibilities:**

• Instruct participants in fundamental basketball skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense
• Lead drills and skill-building activities
• Supervise participants and maintain a safe and positive learning environment
• Set up and clean up equipment and activity areas
• Communicate effectively with ARC staff and site supervisors
• Follow ARC and Seattle Parks and Recreation policies and procedures

**Basketball Instructor Qualifications:**

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Experience coaching or instructing basketball in a recreational, school, or community setting
• Experience working with children or youth
• Ability to manage groups in a positive and supportive manner

**Pay:**

• Starting Pay: $23.00 – $25.00/ hr
• Full Pay Range: $23.00-33.00/hr *(employee may earn up to $33.00/hr with continued employment)*
