**Job Summary:**

The Endoscopy Technician assists the Endoscopy team during procedures by anticipating the required supplies and instruments, ensuring equipment readiness, and providing support for pre-procedure, intra-procedure and post-procedure phases. The Endoscopy Technician plays a key role in maintaining infection control standards and ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient environment.

## Qualifications

**Physical and Mental Demands:**

• Ability to stand and move for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift)
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds as needed
• Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching to handle equipment and assist patients
• For items exceeding 50 pounds, team lifting or mechanical assistance must be used in accordance with safety guidelines. Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
• High level verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in high-stress situations.
• Above average ability to manage multiple asks simultaneously

**Performance Expectations**

• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all stages of care.
• Demonstrate competency in managing endoscopy equipment, disinfection protocols, and assisting the clinical team.
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards and facility guidelines.

**Job Qualifications:**

• 1 year of healthcare experience preferred
• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Understanding of aseptic technique principles and infection control practices
• Current BLS, or completed within 90 days of hire
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency
