**Summary:**Drives truck with a capacity of more than 25 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.

📍 **Location:** Seattle, WA
💵 **Pay:** $32.00 - $40.00 per hour DOE
💵 **Overtime** **Available:** Paid at time and a half
💵 $2,500 **signing bonus** paid on the 1st paycheck issued
💵 $2,500 **retention bonus** after 90 days of employment (must meet attendance and expectations set)

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
(Other duties may be assigned.)

• Actively participate in Seaport Steel’s safety program
• Review load boards and verify scheduled deliveries and pickups
• Inspect truck and equipment prior to use
• Inspect materials to ensure accuracy with shipping documentation
• Determine load readiness and make adjustments for safety and compliance
• Properly secure loads for transport
• Deliver and pick up materials according to assigned routes
• Work efficiently and manage time effectively
• Maintain respectful and professional interactions with others
• Ensure accuracy and quality in all work; identify opportunities for improvement
• Complete tasks in a timely manner

**Education/Experience**

• CDL Class A driver’s license and completed truck driving courses with a certificate of completion with at least two-year related experiences and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Language Ability**

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

**Math Ability**

• Ability to add and subtract and read a tape measure

**Reasoning Ability**

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

**Computer Skills**

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Eroad™ software or the wiliness to learn.
