Dorfman Milano, a 100+ year-old leader in the headwear industry, designs, sources, and distributes a diverse portfolio of headwear across various channels, from major retailers to independent boutiques. With a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, we offer a range of options, including Made in the USA products from our Texas factory. We are currently seeking a dynamic Product Development Intern to join our growing team.

Hands-On / Craft Skills

  • Precision cutting and board assembly (X-Acto, foam core, fabric covering)
  • Strong fine motor skills and attention to detail

Preferred Skills

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom)
  • Canva, Milanote, Trello, or similar tools
  • PLM or product development experience
  • Superior Color Vision/strong color acuity
  • Interest in millinery/western hats, quality control, technical design, product development, fashion industry factory production processes, or similar areas of study (product development, production, merchandising, buying, sourcing, procurement, etc.)

  • Portfolio submission is optional (hat design experience not required), though examples demonstrating layout and precision cutting are beneficial; if provided, please include an accessible link (with password if needed).
  • No unpaid design project will be required in our application process!
