**DESCRIPTION:** Keep all production equipment running in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Maintain the building and property.
**PRIMARY ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**

The Maintenance Technician primary responsibilities are

  1. Work in a safe, and courteous manner. Maintenance employees are safety leaders.
  2. Regular attendance is an expectation of the job.
  3. Equipment and building maintenance including machine repairs, welding, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
  4. Use hand tools (i.e. screw drivers, hammer, mallet, vice grips)
  5. Use power tools (i.e. lathe machine, milling machine, welding, table saw, drill press)
  6. Drive company trucks, forklifts, and mini cart.
  7. Develop service contacts to handle repairs beyond internal capabilities.
  8. Perform maintenance jobs orders as assigned.
  9. Minimize machine maintenance impact on production.
  10. Schedule and perform preventative maintenance.
  11. Order repair parts and services utilizing ERP system.
  12. Maintain records of maintenance performed utilizing internet-based CMMS.
  13. Maintain company truck and service records
  14. Assist in the on the job training of employees in lower classifications.

**NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**

  1. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  2. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

None

## Qualifications
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**

  1. Four-year state indentured apprenticeship as a Machine Repairer or
  2. Two-year diploma in Industrial Maintenance Mechanic and two years’ experience as a General/Machine Repairer or Maintenance Technician or
  3. Eight years’ experience as a Machine Repairer as applied to industrial equipment and processes.
  4. Ability to work at 10–40-foot heights.
  5. Ability to obtain a PIV license.
