Speech Therapist - PRN - Inpatient Therapy (3112)

## Description

• To provide Speech Therapy services to patients in an Inpatient Rehab setting
• Develop, document, and implement appropriate treatment plans to promote the optimal outcomes for patients with a wide range of injuries and ages
• Participates in regularly scheduled patient care-team conferences to contribute to the interdisciplinary plan of care with therapy goals, patient progress, and discharge recommendations.
• Coordinates patient care with an interdisciplinary team that includes but is not limited to: physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, etc.
• Demonstrates the ability to work in a dynamic environment, with strong organizational and time management skills.
• A compassionate professional who encourages and inspires their patients to work toward greater independence and recovery

## Qualifications

• Education: Appropriate degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Licensure: Current, valid Speech Therapy license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of Mississippi and ASHA Membership
• Must have CCCs or is in active pursuit with attainment within 1 year of employment
• Certification: American Red Cross BLS
• Experience: New graduates welcome to apply; clinical experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, or outpatient settings preferred
