## Description

**Position Summary:**

The Sawmill Floor Man plays a critical role in maintaining efficient production flow within the sawmill. This position supports mill operations by handling lumber, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and assisting machine operators and supervisors as needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial setting.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Assist with the movement, sorting, and stacking of lumber and wood products
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris to ensure safe operations
• Support sawmill operators by supplying materials and clearing finished products
• Inspect lumber for quality and remove defective materials as directed
• Operate basic tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and OSHA regulations
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Perform general labor duties as assigned to support mill productivity

## Qualifications
**Qualifications:**

• Previous experience in a sawmill, manufacturing, or industrial environment is a plus, but is not required.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials (up to 50+ lbs.) regularly
• Willingness to work in varying weather and environmental conditions
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

**Work Environment:**
